Fire Markers (Part-Time)
Valbin Corporation is currently recruiting Fire Markers for an upcoming opportunity. The work will be performed in Germany at multiple military bases, in particular Grafenwoehr and Hohenfels. All Fire Markers must read, write, and speak a minimum of German and English. Fire Markers will support simulated Full Spectrum Operations battlefield effects, including replicating and assessing indirect artillery/mortar fire and smoke.
***Fire Markers will be fully trained to perform these duties and must pass Fire Marker certification prior to employment. No prior experience is required, but knowledge and familiarity of the position is preferred.***
General Qualifications and Duties:
- Shall be able to load and unload equipment weighing up to 40 pounds
- Shall be skilled in the safe handling of various pyrotechnics
- Shall be thoroughly familiar with the Fire Marker SOP, JMRC EXPRO and apply all safety and security policies
- Shall be able to wear military style uniforms and maintain grooming standards in accordance with AR 670-1, Guide to the Wear and Appearance of Army Uniforms and Insignia.
- Shall successfully complete Government-provided Fire Marker certification prior to employment
- Must speak, read, and write both German and English at a proficiency equivalent to an ILR 2
- Ability to walk considerable distances (20+km) during a 10 hour shift in all weather conditions
- Additional travel as required
